Engine Mount: Service and Repair

Fig. 1 Engine mounts:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove engine mount-to-chassis attaching nuts, Fig. 1.
3. On 1984 models equipped with A/C, and all 1985-88 models, remove forward torque reaction rod attaching bolts.
4. On all models, raise engine slightly using a suitable engine lifting device. Raise engine only enough to provide clearance for mount removal.
5. Removal 2 upper mount-to-engine support bracket attaching nuts and the engine mount.
6. Reverse procedure to install.
