Rear

Caliper Assembly:

Rear disc brake calipers include an integral parking brake mechanism. When the parking brake is applied, the lever turns an actuator screw which is threaded into a nut in the caliper piston. As the actuator screw turns, the piston is forced out, applying force on the rotor. The piston contains a self adjusting mechanism to keep the parking brake in proper adjustment and to ensure proper clearance when the parking brake is released.
