ABS PUMP MOTOR REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE (INFORMATION)

Models Affected:
1986-90 6000 MODELS

Some 1986-1990 6000 may experience a failed ABS pump motor.

This condition may be caused by a faulty pump motor relay. The pump motor relay contacts may become welded together causing the pump motor to continue running after the specified system pressure is attained.





To correct this condition and prevent repeat failures, the appropriate pump motor relay listed should be replaced any time a pump motor failure occurs.

Parts are currently available from GMSPO.
