Disassemble

Figure 5:

1. Install J-22912-01 under mainshaft rear bearing and remove using a press.

2. Remove thrust washer, first speed gear, needle bearings and spacer, see accompanying figure.

3. Remove first and second synchronizer, second speed gear and needle, see accompanying figure.

4. Remove snap ring from front of third and fourth synchronizer on front of mainshaft.
