Subject: SERVICE CONVERTER CLUTCH FEEL PROM - 1983 6000 AND PHOENIX VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH 2.5L TBI ENGINE

Please be advised that service PROMS have been released for the 1983 6000 and Phoenix cars to revise the TCC re-engage points to require significantly less throttle for re-engagement. This will eliminate the continual disengage/re-engage on grades, particularly when operating under cruise control. New PROMS are as follows:

1226647 replaces 1226439 for 2.84 axle
1226648 replaces 1226441 for 2.39 axle
