Water Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 20 Water Pump Removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Drain coolant, partially.
3. Remove serpentine belt guard attaching bolts and guard.
4. Loosen coolant pump pulley bolts, Fig. 20.
5. Remove serpentine drive belt.
6. Remove coolant pump pulley bolts and pulley.
7. Remove coolant pump attaching bolts, pump and gasket.
8. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications.
