Valve Cover: Service and Repair

LEFT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove acoustic engine cover.
3. Remove engine mount strut.
4. Remove PCV from valve cover.
5. Disconnect spark plug wires from front spark plugs.
6. Remove cover bolts and cover.
7. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new gasket and apply ultra black RTV sealer, part No. 12345739, or equivalent
b. Tighten to specifications.

RIGHT
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove acoustic engine cover.
3. Remove drive belt.
4. Remove generator bracket, braces and generator.
5. Disconnect spark plug wires from ignition module.
6. Remove ignition coil bracket assembly.
7. Disconnect vacuum lines from valve cover.
8. Remove cover bolts.
9. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install new gasket and apply ultra black RTV sealer, part No. 12345739, or equivalent
b. Tighten to specifications.
