Housing Assembly HVAC: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect

1. Battery negative cable.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Second row seating.
4. Seat belt retaining bolts from center pillar and body lock pillar panels.
5. Quarter upper trim finishing panel.
7. Rear wheelhouse trim finishing panel.
7. Body lock pillar trim finishing panel screws and panel.
8. Rear blower switch assembly from center pillar/ quarter lower trim finishing panel.
9. Electrical connector from blower switch.
10. Screw and rosebud clip at front of rear wheelhouse lower trim.
11. Center pillar/quarter lower trim finishing panel screws and panel.
12. Loosen one screw on B-pillar duct.
13. Beltline horizontal duct screws and duct.
14. Evaporator inlet/outlet fittings at module.
15. Heater inlet/outlet quick-disconnect fittings at module.
16. Module screws.
17. Electrical connector from top of module.
18. Electrical connector from blower motor.
19. Vacuum line from actuator.
20. Drain hose from bottom of module.
21. Module from vehicle.

Important
^ There may be residual coolant in the module and care should be taken so as not to spill coolant on the carpeting or other interior surfaces when removing module from vehicle.

Install or Connect

1. Electrical connector onto blower motor.
2. Electrical connector onto top of module.
3. Vacuum line onto module actuator.
4. Module screws.

Tighten
^ Module screws to 4 N.m (35 lb.in.).

5. Heater inlet/outlet quick-disconnect fittings at module.
6. Drain hose.
7. Beltline horizontal duct and screws.
8. B-pillar duct screw.
9. Electrical connector through center pillar/ quarter lower trim panel and onto blower switch.
10. Center pillar/quarter lower trim panel and screws.
11. Rear wheelhouse lower trim screw and rosebud clip.
12. Blower switch assembly onto trim panel.
13. Body lock pillar trim finishing panel and screws.
14. Rear wheelhouse trim finishing panel.
15. Quarter upper trim finishing panel.
16. Seat belt retaining bolts at center pillar and body lock pillar panels.

Tighten
^ Seat belt bolts to 43 N.m (32 lb.ft.).

17. Second row seating.
18. Battery negative cable.
19. Refill coolant.
