Front Steering Knuckle: Testing and Inspection

DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - STEERING KNUCKLE
Inspect the steering knuckle for abnormal bends and other types of damage. If it is determined that the steering knuckle is damaged or bent, no attempt is to be made to repair or straighten the steering knuckle. It must be replaced.
Carefully inspect the steering knuckle for any signs of cracking. If there is any evidence of a crack in the steering knuckle do not attempt to repair the crack by welding or any other method. If during the inspection of the steering knuckles a crack is found, the steering knuckle must be replaced.

NOTE: The front suspension steering knuckle used on this vehicle is not a repairable component of the front suspension. It must be replaced if found to be defective or damaged in any way.
