Drive Belt: Adjustments

ADJUSTMENTS - ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT
Use belt tension gauge, Special Tool 7198 for conventional V-belts and Poly-V belts.
Adjust the belt tension for NEW or USED belt tension applications.
1. Loosen tensioner pulley lock nut.
2. Tighten tensioner adjusting bolt until proper belt tension is reached when checking with belt tension gauge.
3. Torque tensioner pulley lock nut to 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.).
