A/C Suction Hose/Line Replacement

REMOVAL
To Expansion Valve
1. Remove refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery machine.

2. Remove bolt attaching the suction and liquid lines to the expansion valve.
3. Remove suction and liquid line flange from expansion valve.

CAUTION: Cap all lines that are not being replaced and cap the expansion valve tubes.

4. Remove flange bolts attaching lines to the receiver/drier. Remove flange. Disconnect liquid line from the receiver/drier .
5. Remove the bolt attaching the suction lines to the compressor.
6. Remove the suction and liquid line from the vehicle.

To Condenser
1. Remove refrigerant from the A/C system using a refrigerant recovery machine.
2. Remove liquid line from condenser. Remove flange bolts attaching lines to the receiver/drier. Remove flange.

CAUTION: Cap all lines that are not being replaced and cap the condenser inlet.

3. Disconnect liquid line from the receiver/drier.
4. Remove the liquid line from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION
To Expansion Valve
1. Position the flange and a new gasket on the expansion valve.
2. Install the attaching bolt. Tighten the bolt to 22 Nm (200 in. lbs.).
3. Position liquid line on filter drier with a new seal.
4. Position the suction/liquid line to the compressor with a new seal installed.
5. Install the attaching bolt in the flange.
6. Tighten the bolt to 22 Nm (200 in. lbs.).

To Condenser
1. Position refrigerant line and new seal on filter drier.
2. Install the flange and bolt
3. Install the liquid line and new seal to the condenser.
