Air Door Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
The blend-air (temperature) door is actuated by a cable which mechanically positions the temperature door.
1. Place the ignition key in the OFF position before removing control module.
2. Remove instrument panel.
3. Release the temperature control cable retaining clip from the top of the control module. Retain the clip for future use. Then disconnect the temperature control cable.

4. Disconnect cable at housing.
5. Remove cable core end from temperature actuator lever.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect the cable core end to the actuator lever.
2. Connect the cable at the housing end.
3. Install the cable retaining clip.
4. Install the instrument panel.
