Fluid Drain and Fill

The bell housing bearings are lubricated with SAE 5w3O engine oil. The bell housing is filled with oil to within 3/16 inch of the bottom of the fill hole.

DRAIN
1. Hoist vehicle.

2. Remove the bell housing drain plug located underneath the bell housing nose (Fig. 1).
3. Allow fluid to drain completely.

FILL
1. If the drain plug was removed, install drain plug and tighten.

2. Remove the bell housing fill plug (Fig. 2).
3. Fill bell housing with SAE 5w3O engine oil to within 3/16 inch of the fill hole bottom.
4. Install fill plug.
