Replacement

NOTE: The transaxle must be removed along with the bell housing as an assembly.

REMOVAL
1. Remove transaxle and bell housing.

NOTE: The bell housing is attached to the transaxle using two different size bolts. Mark bolts when removing for assembly reference.

2. Remove bell housing bolts.
3. Remove inspection plug. Mark and remove converter bolts.
4. Separate bell housing from transaxle

INSTALLATION
1. Position bell housing to transaxle.
2. Install bell housing bolts. Torque larger upper bolts to 95 Nm (70 ft. lbs.). Torque smaller lower bolts to 74 Nm (45 ft. lbs.).
3. Align marks on flex plate and converter.
4. Install converter bolts. Install all bolts before tightening. Torque converter bolts to 81 Nm (60 ft. lbs.).
5. Install inspection cover.
