DR-4 Intermittent Test For MAP Sensor Signal

1. Place tee in vacuum line to MAP sensor. Start engine and read vacuum on gauge while opening and closing throttle. If vacuum drops rapidly to 0, proceed to Test 38. If vacuum does not drop to 0, stop engine and replace vacuum hose between gauge and throttle body.
2. Repeat vacuum test by again starting engine. Turn engine Off while reading gauge. If vacuum dropped slowly, repair vacuum restriction in throttle body, then proceed to Test 38. If vacuum drops to 0, proceed to Test 38.
