Cruise Control Servo Cable: Adjustments

The speed control cable is attached to a cable support bracket by a clip located seven inches from stud on lost motion link.
1. Raise engine temperature to normal operating temperature.
2. Carburetor should be at curb idle and with choke Off.
3. Remove spring clip from lost motion link stud. Clearance between stud and cable clevis should be 1/16 inch.
4. Insert a gauge pin between cable clevis and stud then loosen clip at cable support bracket.
5. Pull all slack out of cable. Do not pull throttle away from curb idle position.
6. Torque clip at support bracket to 45 inch lbs.
7. Remove gauge pin and install spring clip on stud.
