Inspection

1. Clean all parts with a suitable brake cleaner and blow dry using compressed air.
2. Inspect piston bore for scoring or pitting. If scratches or corrosion cannot be cleaned with crocus cloth, hone bore with suitable brake hone using brake fluid as a lubricant. Do not increase bore more than 0.002 inch while honing. Replace caliper if corrosion or pitting is excessive.
3. Replace caliper piston if it is excessively pitted, scored or worn, or if honing the caliper bore was necessary.
