REPAIR PROCEDURE
This repair procedure involves rerouting the (VCOTVV) Vacuum Controlled Orificed Tank Vapor Valve to ported vacuum from manifold vacuum, and installing a pressure relief/rollover valve.
1. Cut two pieces of 3/16" vacuum hose (Bulk PN 3751863) into the following lengths: one piece 18" long; one piece 2" long.
2. Attach the 2" and 18" pieces of 3/16" vacuum tubing to each end of the 3/16" vacuum tee.
3. Remove the vacuum line from the purge solenoid. Attach the open end of the 2" piece of vacuum hose to the purge solenoid.
4. Attach the removed purge solenoid vacuum line to the remaining end of the vacuum tee (See Figure 1 - Part A).
PLEASE NOTE: REMOVING THE HORN WILL MAKE THE VCOTVV EASILY ACCESSIBLE AND ALLOW ROOM TO COMPLETE THIS PROCEDURE.
5. Remove the 3/16" vacuum line from the signal port of the VCOTVV. Plug this line using the 3/16" in-line connector and the 3/16" rubber cap as shown in Figure 1 - Part B.
6. Attach the open end of the 18" x 3/16" vacuum hose (from the tee) to the signal port of the VCOTVV.
7. Use the supplied tie wraps, PN 6015756, to attach the modified vacuum lines.
8. Reinstall horn at this time, if removed.
9. Remove the original rollover valve as outlined in the service manual and replace with revised rollover valve PN 4495047.
