Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
1. Raise and support front of vehicle. Remove wheel.
2. Remove brake caliper without disconnecting hose. Suspend caliper from frame with wire.
3. Remove hub cap and nut, then remove hub assembly, taking care not to drop outer bearing.
4. If inner bearing is seized on spindle, remove using a suitable puller.
5. Mark position of rotor and remove bolts, then separate rotor from hub.
6. Clean and inspect bearings and replace as needed.
7. Pack bearings with specified grease, working grease through rollers from wide end of bearing with palm of hand. Keep bearings covered until installation.
8. Assemble hub and rotor aligning matching marks, apply specified thread locking compound to threads, then tighten bolts to specifications.
9. Install bearings in hub, then press new seal into rear of hub.
10. Install hub assembly, adjust wheel bearings as outlined above, then reverse remaining procedure to complete installation.
