Warranty - Complimentary Maintenance Program
90peugeot02BULLETIN NO. 09-89
DATE: December, 1989
SUBJECT: COMPLIMENTARY MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
At the request of the National Dealer Council, PMA has decided to no longer issue the Complimentary Scheduled Maintenance Certificate Booklets, due to the fact that all 1989/1990 Model Year vehicles are automatically eligible for the Complimentary Maintenance Program.
Effective with all vehicles retailed on or after December 20, 1989, it will be necessary for a Warranty Claim to be submitted for reimbursement covering each applicable scheduled maintenance service performed by your dealership.
On the reverse side of this Bulletin, we have listed all of the Labor Hours, Parts and Lubricant Allowances, Allocation Codes, Damage Codes, and Main Operation Numbers which will be required in order to properly complete and submit a Warranty Claim for the services provided. On page 4 we have included a sample copy of a completed Complimentary Maintenance Claim.
In order to submit claims for DCS dealers, it will be necessary to refer to the warranty menu, choice "C," entitled "Complimentary Maintenance Certificate." Once this screen is obtained, all required fields must be completed by using the attached claim information.
For vehicles retailed prior to December 20, 1989, for which booklets have been issued, it will still be necessary to continue to submit the properly completed certificate. Submission criteria for either method is within twenty-one (21) days from the date of service.
All recommended scheduled Maintenance Services, as outlined in the Maintenance Record Booklet, must be performed within 1000 miles or one
(1) month of the prescribed service interval, whichever occurs first. Failure to have the required service performed within the mileage or time period will result in the rejection of your maintenance claim.
It will be necessary to enter, on the Complimentary Maintenance Program form, the following: vehicle, delivery, and retail purchaser's information. This form is to be signed by the customer at the time of sale in order for the customer to fully understand the coverage of this Maintenance Program. Please attach the customer's copy (yellow) to the inside cover of the maintenance record booklet at the time of retail delivery. This form will also act as verification that the vehicle qualifies for complimentary scheduled maintenance when it is returned for servicing.
It is imperative that all personnel are aware of this Program's coverage and that this form only issued to purchasers of 1989 and 1990 vehicles retailed after December 20, 1989.
