Seat Belt Track Assembly Replacement




SEAT BELT TRACK ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT (ONLY IF NEEDED):

- Unplug the two-pin white connector from the seat belt motor and the four-pin brown connector from the track.
- Remove:
- the three 10 mm nuts (1) securing the motor
- the three phillips-head screws (2) or torx screws from the track
- the Number 30 torx bolt (3) and 16 mm nut (4) securing the track assembly to the "B" pillar
- the track assembly



- Position new large washer (5) P/N 0089.03 and new small washer
(6) P/N 0089.05 between bracket (7) and new track assembly (8).



Install, but do not tighten:
- the 16 mm nut (4)
- the phillips-head or torx screws (2); replace plastic inserts, P/N 6992.G2, if necessary
- a new Number 30 torx bolt (3) P/N 0089.04. Do not reuse the original bolt Verify correct routing of the wiring on the track. Tighten phillips-head screws (2). Torque 16 mm nut (4) to 2-4 mdaN (14.7-29.4 ft.lbs.).

NOTE: If there is a risk of contact between the socket and the upper set screw on the track, use a crows-foot or equivalent to torque the nut.

Torque the new torx bolt (3) to 1.5-2.5 mdaN (11-18.4 ft.lbs.). Reinstall 10 mm nuts (1) on motor. Reconnect electrical connectors. Repeat testing procedure.
