Prior to setting idle speed, ensure ignition system is in proper working order, air cleaner is clean and in place, cooling fans and A/C compressor are released and transmission is in N or P. Conduct ``Throttle Switch Adjustment,'' ``First Throttle Adjustment'' and ``Second Throttle Adjustment'' procedure prior to adjusting idle speed.

To adjust idle speed, turn idle speed setting screw (1) to obtain 800-900 RPM, Fig. 12.
