Engine Stalls When Shifting Into Gear (A/T Only)

1. Disconnect electrical connector from the park/neutral relay located on the righthand side of the engine compartment. Connector contains wires 32A, 32B, 42 and 45B.
2. Reverse the wiring between pins 1 and 2.
3. Release the double lock terminal from the socket as follows:
a. Push wire and terminal all the way into the socket.
b. Insert a small, flat blade screwdriver into the center of the terminal, then pull wire down.
c. Hold in position and pull screwdriver out.
d. Insert screwdriver between rolled over side of terminal and side of socket, then pull down on wire to release from socket.
4. Insert wires 32A and 32B into pin 1.
5. Insert wire 45B into pin 2.
6. Install new park/neutral relay, part No. 6555-48.
