Front Speed Sensors

Removal
1. Remove retaining bolt, then remove speed sensor from vehicle.
2. Check contact face cleanliness and clean if necessary. On a new sensor, remove plastic cap before installation.
3. Check for free movement on support.

Installation

Fig. 2 Speed Sensor Adjustment:

1. Coat bolt (5) with Loctite and install, Fig. 2. Torque to 7 ft. lbs.
2. Loosen bolt (6) and insert a 0.5mm feeler gauge between toothed ring and sensor head. Keep sensor just in contact with the feeler gauge, then torque bolt (6) to 2 ft. lbs.
