Emission Control Systems: Service and Repair

Check the three way catalytic converter and the exhaust system every 15,000 miles for leaks, alignment and suspension. Check for loose parts in the catalytic converter by "shaking" the exhaust system. If loose parts can be detected, the converter should be replaced.
