SUBJECT: RECALL CAMPAIGN NO. FMVSS301 FUEL SYSTEM INTEGRITY
Automobiles Peugeot has determined a non-compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 301 (Fuel System Integrity) which may exist in all 1989 and 1990 Model Year 405 Vehicles. This non-compliance will be remedied at the expense of Peugeot (Parts and Labor).
Specific instructions regarding the proper modification procedures for this recall were included in Service Bulletin No. 363, Class 1. Keep in mind that you will need to order the Modification Kit, P/N 0015T4, which will be made available through our National Warehouse.
In our continuing effort to reduce the amount of preparation needed when completing a Product Recall Campaign Voucher, PMA has prepared a pre-printed voucher. This Recall Campaign Voucher will be used for Recall Campaign No. FMVSS301 (Peugeot "Fuel System Integrity" Modification).
The Recall/Campaign Voucher consists of four (4) parts: PMA Service Department (Warranty Copy); Dealer's Copy; Customer's Copy; plus a Vehicle Transfer Copy (to be used for any change in ownership); and it will be pre-printed with the following information:

HOW TO COMPLETE THE PRODUCT RECALL CAMPAIGN VOUCHER:
Step 1: Perform the installation in accordance with the Peugeot
Service Bulletin
Step 2: Enter on the Recall Campaign Voucher the following
information:
^ Dealership's Account Number ^ Repair Date - MO/DAY/YR
^ Claim Number (R.O. Number) ^ Mileage
Step 3: The voucher must be signed by the Service Manager and the
owner of the Vehicle.
On Page 2, we have included a sample copy of the Product Recall
Campaign Voucher showing the pre-printed areas. We have also circled the areas which must be completed by the repairing Dealership.
Upon completion of the repairs, it will be necessary to submit the completed PMA Service Department (Warranty Copy) to your Distributor's/ National Warranty Department for processing and reimbursement. The Dealer Copy should be retained at your Dealership; and the Customer's Copy should be given to the Customer upon completion of the repairs.
REIMBURSEMENT:
Upon receipt of the Recall Campaign Voucher by the National or Distributor's Warranty Department, the voucher will be processed for payment in the normal manner. Credit will appear on your Warranty Statement referencing "R" and your R. O. Number. Your Dealership will be credited for the special Recall Repair Kit, P/N 0015T4, plus 25% Handling Charge and Labor (200 Hours) will be calculated at your Warranty Labor Rate.
Additional blank Recall Campaign Vouchers may be obtained from the National or Distributor's Warranty Department.
