Kickdown Linkage Adjust

1. Place a 5 mm (.197 inch) spacer against accelerator pedal stop, then depress accelerator pedal against stop in full throttle position.

2. Open throttle fully and connect cable to throttle lever (2), Fig. 3.

3. Load cable by pulling lightly on cable housing stop (3), Figs. 3 and 4.
4. Insert lock pin (4) in a position to ensure least amount of play between pin and manifold (5).

5. With throttle in idle position, tighten control cable (6), Fig. 5, to obtain maximum of .5 mm (.020 inch) play (J) between sleeve (7) and cable housing ferrule (8).
6. Lock cable on throttle lever.
