Pistons & Rings

On engines with removable liners, pistons, rings and liners come as a matched set. Remove pistons from liners and clean thoroughly. Check that piston rings move freely in their grooves. Position gaps 120° from each other and install pistons using suitable compressor. Liner projection above cylinder block deck should be .0012-.0028 inch (.03-.07 mm).
