EGR Valve Test
1. Disconnect top port hose from EGR valve.
2. Connect a hand operated vacuum pump to the disconnected EGR hose.
3. Apply a 4 inch Hg. vacuum signal to the EGR valve. The EGR valve diaphragm should move. If not, replace EGR valve.
4. The end of the diaphragm travel should be noted when a vacuum signal of 13 inches Hg. is applied to the EGR valve. If not, remove and check EGR valve. Replace if necessary.
