Oil Cooler Pipe Seals Replacement

^ Tools Required
- J 41239-10 Cooler Line Seal Remover

Removal Procedure





1. Raise the vehicle, Refer to Vehicle Lifting
2. Remove the transmission oil cooler pipes from the transmission.
3. Remove the cooler pipe bracket stud.





4. Remove the oil cooler pipe seals.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the J41239-1 on the transmission case using cooler pipe bracket stud hole.





2. Install a new seal in the case bore.
3. Press the new seals in. Tighten the J41239-1 until the seal bottoms out in the case bore.





4. Install the cooler pipe bracket stud.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notices in Service Precautions

5. Install the transmission oil cooler pipes.
^ Tighten the oil cooler lines to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.)
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Inspect the transmission fluid level.
8. Operate the engine for 2 or 3 minutes.
9. Inspect the transmission fluid level.
