Revised Air Outlet Replacement - Instrument Panel-Right

This bulletin is being issued to revise the Air Outlet Replacement - Instrument Panel-Right procedure in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning sub-section of the Service Manual. Please replace the current information in the Service Manual with the following information.

Air Outlet Replacement - Instrument Panel-Right (Oldsmobile)

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the instrument panel (I/P) compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

2. Reach through the compartment opening to release the 2 lower retaining clips (1) by pushing upwards.

3. Remove the I/P outer air outlet.

Installation Procedure





1. Align the outlet to the opening in the I/P.

2. Seat the lower clips (1) first and press the outlet into place.

3. Install the I/P compartment. Refer to Compartment Replacement Instrument Panel (I/P) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
