Power Steering Pump Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the upper engine mount.
2. Remove the drive belt from the vehicle.
3. Remove the power steering hoses from the pump (1).

Installation Procedure





1. Install the power steering pump (1) to the engine.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the power steering pump mounting bolts (2).
^ Tighten the power steering mounting bolts to 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.).
3. Install the power steering hoses to the pump.
4. Install the drive belt.
5. Install the upper engine mount.
6. Fill the power steering pump with power steering fluid.
7. Bleed the power steering system.
