Rear Door Window Motor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL PROCEDUREIMPORTANT: The door window regulator motor and door regulator are serviced as a unit.
1. Raise the door window to 2.54 mm (1.0 in). from the full closed position and apply tape to support it.
2. Remove the rear door trim panel.
3. Remove the rear door water deflector.
4. Remove the window-to-window regulator bolts (1,2).
5. Disconnect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
6. Remove the bolts (1,2,3,4) which secure the window regulator to the door.
7. Remove the bolts which secure the window regulator motor to the door.
8. Remove the window regulator and window regulator motor from the door.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Align the window regulator and window regulator motor to the door.
2. Install the bolts (1,2,3,4) which secure the window regulator to the door.
NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Tighten the bolts in the following sequence: (1,2,3,4).
Tighten
Tighten the window regulator to door bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
4. Install the bolts which secure the window regulator motor to the door.
Tighten
Tighten the regulator motor to door bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
5. Connect the window regulator motor electrical connector.
6. Remove the tape from the rear door window and lower the window onto the window regulator carrier plate.
7. Install the bolts(1,2) which secure the window to the window regulator.
Tighten
Tighten the window to regulator bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
8. Install the rear door water deflector.
9. Install the rear door trim panel.
