Automatic Transmission Brace Replacement

Removal Procedure

Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.

1. Disconnect the negative battery ground cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
3. Remove the right front tire and wheel.
4. Remove the right (rear) engine mount bracket.





5. Remove the transaxle brace bolts from the transaxle and engine block.
6. Remove the transaxle brace.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the transaxle brace.
2. Hand start the bolts to the engine block and oil pan.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the transaxle brace bolts.
- Tighten the transaxle brace bolts to 43 Nm (32 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the right (rear) engine mount bracket.
5. Install the right front tire and wheel.
6. Lower the vehicle.
7. Connect the battery ground (negative) cable.
