Bracket Replacement - Knee Bolster

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the instrument panel steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement.
2. Remove bolts from the Data Link Connector.
3. Remove the hood release lever.
4. Remove SIR connector clip.
5. Remove the bolts from the knee bolster bracket.




6. Remove the instrument panel knee bolster bracket from the instrument panel.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the instrument panel knee bolster bracket to the instrument panel.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




2. Install the bolts to the instrument panel knee bolster bracket.

Tighten
Tighten the instrument panel knee bolster bracket bolts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

3. Install SIR connector clip.
4. Install bolts to the data link connector.

Tighten
Tighten the data link connector bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

5. Install the hood release lever.
6. Install the instrument panel steering column opening filler. Refer to Steering Column Filler Replacement.
