Air Injection Check Valve: Service and Repair

SECONDARY AIR INJECTION (AIR) VACUUM CHECK VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the injector sight shield fasteners (2).
2. Remove the injector sight shield (4) from the vehicle.




3. Remove the vacuum lines from the check valve (5).
4. Remove the check valve.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the vacuum lines to the check valve.
2. Install the injector sight shield to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.




3. Install the injector sight shield fasteners.

Tighten
Tighten the fasteners to 3 N.m (27 lb in).
