Intake Manifold Assemble





1. Install the pressure relief valve in the intake manifold.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the pressure relief valve bolts.
Tighten the pressure relief valve bolts to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).





3. Install the throttle body adapter heater plate with a NEW seal to the intake manifold.
4. Install the throttle body adapter heater plate bolt and studs.
Tighten the throttle body adapter heater plate bolt and studs to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).





5. Install the purge solenoid.
6. Install the purge solenoid bolt.
Tighten the purge solenoid bolt to 10 Nm (89 ft. lbs.).





7. Press the MAP sensor in place at the top of the throttle body mounting location.





8. Install the throttle body heater hoses to the throttle body adapter heater plate.





9. Install the brake booster vacuum hose (1).





10. Install a NEW throttle body gasket on the throttle body.
11. Place the throttle body and a NEW gasket in position on the intake manifold.
12. Install the throttle body nuts.
Tighten the throttle body nuts to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
13. Install the accelerator cable bracket and bolt.
Tighten the accelerator cable bracket bolt to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).

Important: Do not reuse the intake manifold-to-cylinder head sealing gaskets.





14. Install NEW intake manifold-to-cylinder head gaskets.
