Front Side Door Locking Rod Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. Service and Repair
2. Remove the door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. Service and Repair




3. Remove the locking rod from the plastic door clip.
4. Remove the locking rod from the inside handle.
5. Rotate the locking rod clockwise and remove it from the door lock.
6. Remove the front door inside locking rod from the front door.


Installation Procedure




1. Position the front door inside locking rod to the front door lock.
2. Rotate the locking rod counterclockwise to install it in the door lock.
3. Install the locking rod in the door clip.
4. Install the locking rod to the inside handle.
5. Install the rear door water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector Replacement. Service and Repair
6. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement. Service and Repair
