Throttle Body Heater Hose Replacement - Outlet
Removal Procedure1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
2. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Powertrain Management.
3. Remove the accelerator controls cable bracket. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement in Powertrain Management.
4. Partially drain the coolant from the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling system.
5. Remove the throttle body heater outlet hose clamp (2) from the throttle body heater outlet hose on the surge tank inlet hose pipe.
6. Disconnect the throttle body heater outlet hose (1) from the surge tank inlet hose pipe (3).
7. Remove the throttle body heater clamp from the throttle body.
8. Disconnect the throttle body heater outlet hose from the throttle body.
9. Remove the throttle body heater outlet hose.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the throttle body heater outlet hose.
2. Connect the throttle body heater outlet hose to the throttle body.
3. Install the throttle body heater outlet hose clamp to the throttle body.
4. Connect the throttle body heater outlet hose to the surge tank inlet hose pipe.
5. Connect the throttle body heater outlet hose (1) to the surge tank inlet hose pipe (3).
6. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
7. Install the accelerator controls cable bracket. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement in Powertrain Management.
8. Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Powertrain Management.
9. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
10. Inspect for leaks.
