Throttle Body Heater Hose Replacement - Inlet
Removal Procedure1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
2. Remove the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Powertrain Management.
3. Remove the accelerator controls cable bracket. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement in Powertrain Management.
4. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
5. Note the position of the throttle body heater inlet hose insulator. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose insulator.
6. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp from the water crossover.
7. Disconnect the throttle body heater inlet hose form the water crossover.
8. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp form the throttle body.
9. Disconnect the throttle body heater inlet hose from the throttle body.
10. Remove the throttle body heater inlet hose.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the throttle body heater inlet hose.
2. Connect the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp to the throttle body.
3. Install the throttle body heater inlet hose clamp to the throttle body.
4. Connect the throttle boy heater inlet hose to the water crossover.
5. Install the throttle body heater inlet hose to the water crossover.
6. Install the throttle body heater inlet hose insulator.
7. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
8. Install the accelerator controls cable bracket. Refer to Accelerator Controls Cable Bracket Replacement in Powertrain Management.
9. Install the throttle body air inlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Intake Duct Replacement in Powertrain Management.
10. Install the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement.
11. Inspect for leaks.
