Surge Tank Hose Replacement - Outlet

Removal Procedure

Caution: Refer to Pressurized Cooling System Caution in Service Precautions.

Notice: Refer to Coolant Addition Notice in Service Precautions.





1. Partially drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
2. Remove the surge tank outlet hose clamp from the surge tank.
3. Disconnect the surge tank outlet hose from the surge tank.





4. Remove the surge tank outlet hose clamp from the thermostat housing.
5. Disconnect the surge tank outlet hose from the thermostat housing.
6. Remove the surge tank outlet hose.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the surge tank outlet hose.
2. Connect the surge tank hose to the thermostat housing.
3. Install the surge tank outlet hose clamp to the thermostat housing.





4. Connect the surge tank outlet hose to the surge tank.
5. Install the surge tank outlet hose clamp to the surge tank.
6. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System.
7. Inspect for leaks.
