COMPRESSOR PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE REPLACEMENT(V7-DIRECT MOUNT)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 41790 Compressor Holding Fixture




1. Remove the compressor from the vehicle.
2. Clamp the compressor holding fixture, J 41790 in a vise and attach the compressor to the J 41790.




3. Remove the pressure relief valve from the rear head of the compressor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
J 41790 Compressor Holding Fixture




1. Clean the pressure relief valve seat area of the rear head.
2. Lubricate the O-ring of the new pressure relief valve with clean 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the new pressure relief valve into the compressor.

Tighten
Tighten the compressor pressure relief valve to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

4. Remove the compressor from the J 41790.
5. Install the compressor into the vehicle.
