Rear Compartment Trim Panel Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment lid.
2. Remove the rear compartment convenience net and retainers. Refer to Convenience Net Replacement - Rear Compartment (Convenience Net Replacement - Rear Compartment).




3. Remove the rear compartment mat from the rear compartment.




4. Remove the spare tire cover from the rear compartment.
5. Remove the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. Remove the rear compartment trim panel to rear compartment retainers located near the rear compartment lid lock striker.
7. If equipped with rear split folding seats, remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback))Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback)) in Seats.
8. If equipped, remove the 12-disc CD player. Refer to Remote Compact Disc Player Replacement in Entertainment.
9. Fold the left and right side of the rear compartment trim panel toward the center of the rear compartment.




10. Fold the rear of the rear compartment trim panel toward the center of the rear compartment.
11. Remove the left and right side of the rear compartment trim panel from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the left rear compartment trim panel to the vehicle.
2. Align the right rear compartment trim panel to the vehicle.
3. Apply pressure to the left, right and rear of the rear compartment trim panel until fully seated.
4. Install the rear compartment trim panel to rear compartment retainers located near the rear compartment lid lock striker.
5. Install the rear compartment sill plate. Refer to Rear Compartment Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Service and Repair).
6. If equipped with rear split folding seats, install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback))Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback)) in Seats.
7. If equipped, install the 12-disc CD player. Refer to Remote Compact Disc Player Replacement in Entertainment.
8. Install the rear compartment convenience net and retainers. Refer to Convenience Net Replacement - Rear Compartment (Convenience Net Replacement - Rear Compartment).




9. Install the spare tire cover to the rear compartment.




10. Install the rear compartment mat to the rear compartment.
11. Close the rear compartment lid.
