Rear Window Shelf Trim Panel Replacement

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad and Garnish Clip Remover

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the high mounted stop lamp bulb from the rear shelf. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
2. Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.
3. Remove the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback))Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback)) in Seats.
4. Remove the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement).




5. Use theJ 38778 to remove the rear shelf trim panel to rear shelf push-in retainers.
6. Remove the rear seat belts from slots in the rear shelf trim panel.
7. Slide the rear shelf trim panel toward the front of the vehicle to remove.

Installation Procedure




1. Slide the rear window trim panel toward the back of the vehicle to align into position.
2. Install the rear seat belts through slots in the rear shelf trim panel.
3. Install the rear shelf trim panel to rear shelf push-in retainers.
4. Install the rear quarter upper trim panel. Refer to Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement (Quarter Upper Trim Panel Replacement).
5. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Stationary Seatback))Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback) (Rear Seat Back Cushion Replacement (Split Folding Seatback)) in Seats.
6. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement (Rear Seat Cushion Replacement) in Seats.




7. Install the high mounted stop lamp bulb to the rear shelf. Refer to High Mount Stop Lamp Bulb Replacement in Lighting Systems.
