Rear Compartment Lid Weatherstrip Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment.




2. Grasp the rear compartment weatherstrip and pull up to remove the rear compartment weatherstrip from the pinch-weld flange.
3. Remove the rear compartment weatherstrip from the rear compartment pinch-weld.

Installation Procedure




1. Align the rear compartment weatherstrip to the pinch-weld flange.
2. Locate the color mark on the rear compartment weatherstrip to body centerline at the front of the rear compartment lid opening.
3. Apply pressure to rear compartment weatherstrip onto the rear compartment pinch-weld flange, starting at the top center of the lid opening and working toward bottom center.
Use a rubber mallet to ensure the rear compartment weatherstrip is fully seated to the pinch-weld flange.
4. Close the rear compartment.
