Body Rear End Description

The body rear end contains the following components:

* Fuel Tank Filler Door
* Rear Compartment Lid
* Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder
* Rear Compartment Lid Spoiler

Fuel Tank Filler Door

The Fuel tank filler door, located on the left side rear quarter panel, is operated by a switch inside the passenger compartment on the IP switch blank. The fuel filler door release is mounted to the fuel filler door pocket and is cable operated by an electric actuator mounted on the inside of the left side wheel house.

Rear Compartment Lid

The rear compartment lid is attached to the rear compartment with two hinges. When in the full open position the rear compartment lid is held in place with a gas charged strut attached to the rear compartment lid hinges.

Rear Compartment Lid Lock Cylinder

The rear compartment lid lock cylinder, located near the rear of the compartment lid, can be operated with a key or a switch located inside the passenger compartment on the IP switch blank. A cable operated lock actuator initiates the remote unlocking feature of the rear compartment lid lock cylinder.

Rear Compartment Lid Spoiler

The rear compartment lid spoiler is held in place on top of the rear compartment lid with an adhesive backing and studs containing retaining clips and nuts. A high mounted stop lamp is contained within the rear compartment lid spoiler.
