Power Steering Hoses Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURE1. Remove the power steering return hose from the power steering pump.
2. Remove the rubber section of the power steering return hose from the power steering return line.
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
4. Remove the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
5. Remove the rubber section of the power steering return hose that connects the power steering return line to the power steering cooler pipe.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rubber section of the power steering return hose that connects the power steering return line to the power steering cooler pipe.
- Tighten the power steering return hose clamps to (27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).)
2. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Wheels, Tires and Alignment.
3. Lower the vehicle.
4. Install the rubber section of the power steering return hose that connects the power steering return line to the power steering pump.
5. Fill the power steering system with power steering fluid. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid.
6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding Power Steering System.
7. Inspect the system for leaks. Refer to Power Steering Gear and Pump Leaks.
