Fuel Pressure Test Port: Service and Repair

FUEL PRESSURE CONNECTION VALVE REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

TOOLS REQUIRED
J34730, Fuel Pressure Gauge

1. Clean the area around the fuel pressure connection with GM X-30A or equivalent.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Relieve the fuel system pressure. Refer to Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure.
4. Remove the fuel pressure connection valve (2) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the fuel pressure connection valve assembly (2) using a standard valve core removal and installation tool.
2. Install the fuel pressure connection valve cap (1).
3. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
4. Connect the negative battery cable.
5. Inspect for leaks.
5.1. Turn the ignition switch ON for 2 seconds.
5.2. Turn the ignition switch OFF for 10 seconds.
5.3. Turn the ignition switch ON.
5.4. Check for fuel leaks.
