Radiator Replacement
REMOVAL PROCEDURECaution: Refer to Fan, Hand, and Tool Caution in Service Precautions.
1. Remove the battery cable.
2. Drain the engine coolant from the cooling system.
3. Remove the engine mount strut.
4. Remove the engine mount strut bracket from the upper radiator support.
5. Disconnect the cooling fan wiring harness from the engine harness.
6. Disconnect the outlet hose from the radiator.
7. Disconnect the inlet hose from the radiator.
8. Remove the cooling fan shroud, motors and fans from the radiator.
9. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines from the radiator.
10. Remove the radiator mounting bracket.
11. Remove the radiator mounting brackets.
12. Remove the radiator.
13. Remove the radiator mounts.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Notice: Refer to DEX-COOL NOTICE in Service Precautions.
1. Install the radiator mounts.
2. Install the radiator.
3. Install the radiator mounting brackets.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
4. Install the radiator bracket bolts.
^ Tighten the bolts to 10 Nm (90 ft. lbs.).
5. Connect the transmission oil cooler lines to the radiator.
6. Install the cooling fan shroud, motors and fans to the radiator.
7. Connect the inlet hose to the radiator.
8. Connect the outlet hose to the radiator.
9. Connect the cooling fan wiring harness to the engine harness.
10. Install the engine mount strut.
11. Fill the cooling system with engine coolant.
12. Install the battery.
13. Inspect for leaks.
