Coolant Outlet: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

^ Tools Required
- J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers





1. Partially drain the engine coolant from the cooling system.
2. Remove the radiator hose clamp from the water outlet housing using the J 38185.
3. Disconnect the radiator hose from he water outlet housing.
4. Remove the water outlet housing.


INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

Notice: Refer to DEX-COOL NOTICE in Service Precautions.





1. Install the water outlet housing.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the water housing bolts with RTV Sealer GM P/N 1052366 or equivalent.
^ Tighten the water outlet housing bolts to 9 Nm (80 inch lbs.).
3. Connect the radiator hose to the water outlet housing.
4. Install the radiator hose clamp to the water outlet housing using the J 38185.
